I loved coming here in the fall. It wasn’t about chasing the perfect shot, but just capturing what felt real — those unposed moments, soft light, and that in-between mood that lingers long after. Back in October 2022, Toronto Island felt like a secret. The summer crowds were gone, the air had that crisp, golden stillness, and the paths were mostly empty. From across the water, the city looked calmer, almost like it was holding its breath. I came simply to slow down, to follow the light, and to enjoy the quiet that only autumn seems to bring.
